Vasant Purushottam Kale, popularly known as Va Pu, was one of the best Marathi writer who wrote short stories, novels, and biographical sketches.[1] He authored more than 60 books. His well-known books include Partner, Vapurza, Hi Waat Ekatichi, and Thikri.

V.P. Kale was an architect by profession. His writings reflect the philosophy of Acharya Rajanish.

He died of heart failure in Mumbai .
